Australian actress Isabel Lucas sparked widespread backlash in 2020 after speaking out against vaccine mandates and lockdowns amid the Covid pandemic.
And now the former Home and Away star has opened up about her decision to chase the jab, admitting she knew it was “very likely I wouldn’t be working for years if I share this.”
Speak with Zodiac sign magazine, the 37-year-old said she had “multiple” vaccines growing up but chose not to get vaccinated against Covid.

“For me, I understand, what might be good for you might not be good for me, but it’s not right that we should both be deprived of the freedom to choose,” she explained.
“Our relationship with our bodies is very personal and very complex and so are our choices, and we claim to engage in conversations about inclusion and diversity – you know, gender, religion, sexuality, race – without adding our beliefs or observations. to be recognized,” she continued.
‘The diversity of choice has yet to be taken into account, in my experience.’
Last November, Isabel said she was “pro-choice” when it came to the Covid vaccine.
She later clarified her comments on Instagram, saying she is “worried about ‘mandatory’ vaccination, not about vaccination itself.”
“For me, I get it, what may be good for you may not be good for me, but it’s not right for one of us to be deprived of the freedom to choose,” she explained.

At the time, the star joined hundreds of people at a rally to protest Australia’s Covid-19 vaccine mandates on the New South Wales-Queensland border.
In 2020, Isabel made headlines when she shared anti-vaccination on Instagram while commenting on a post from controversial chef Pete Evans.
She threw her support behind the former MKR judge, writing: ‘Freedom of choice is a human right. I don’t trust the way of vaccination.’
