Katy Perry reveals in The Project why she thinks Australia is so ‘dangerous’ after she and fiancé Orlando Bloom spent time Down Under for work

Katy Perry and her fiancé Orlando Bloom recently spent three months in Australia filming footage for his new movie Wizards! in the north of Queensland.

After some nerve-wracking encounters, the 38-year-old pop star told Lisa Wilkinson on Thursday’s episode The project why she thinks Australia is so ‘dangerous’.

Appearing alongside American country singer Thomas Rhett, with whom she is currently on tour, the songwriter said she and her actor partner had a lot of trouble with creepy Australian critters.

‘I was in this place called Cairns or near Port Douglas. The first night I was there there was a hairy spider that was this big [she made a large circle with her fingers] that was on my nightstand,” she said.

The I Kissed A Girl singer went on to explain that she had to use her hoody to remove the arachnid, but it wasn’t the only encounter she had up north.

‘Oh, it was wild. At one point there was a black snake. There’s a whole list of just — this kind of mini octopus that can kill you in one bite,” she said.

Despite being close to nature, Katy and Orlando, 45, seemed to be having a blast Down Under as the Lord of the Rings star filmed alongside Kim Kardashian’s ex Pete Davidson.

Katy posted a slew of photos from her trip to Instagram at the time, including a snapshot of the two lovebirds sharing a kiss.

The One Of The Boys music artist wrote in the caption, “Daddy filmed a movie in AUS. I went down.’

Behind the two stars, who began dating in January 2016, was a scenic ocean backdrop.

Missing the post is the two-year-old daughter Daisy Dove Bloom.

The little girl is Perry’s first child, while Orlando shares son Flynn Christopher Blanchard Copeland Bloom, eleven, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
