Ravens safety Tony Jefferson admitted Thursday that he went years without wearing glasses, calling his new vision transformation ‘wild.’

When asked by a fan what he had been doing during games, Jefferson said he had only recently gotten contacts and was ‘going out there regular.’

‘I can’t even lie – I stopped wearing my glasses years ago and that might’ve been the dumbest thing I’ve done,’ he said in the initial tweet.

‘I can see so much clearer and further with my glasses It’s wild.’

Jefferson has managed to carve out an impressive NFL career despite his apparent vision difficulties, totaling eight years in the league and earning a four-year, $34 million contract from Baltimore in 2017.

Jefferson, shockingly, is not the only NFL player to have played through vision issues, as former offensive lineman Rich Ohrnberger chimed in on Twitter as well to admit his own previous problems.

‘Not joking, I played 7 season through college and in the league blurry as hell… in 2012 I got glasses and contacts. Mind Blown,’ he revealed

‘I could read safeties numbers for the first time instead of guessing. Total game changer.

‘those next couple of years were so much easier!!!’

After a brief stint with the 49ers, Jefferson – who began his career with the Cardinals – is back with the Ravens after the team re-signed him from their practice squad in February.
