Son Heung-Min insists he WILL be at the World Cup because he ‘wouldn’t miss his childhood dream’…

Son Heung-Min has insisted via social media that he will attend the 2022 World Cup, rejecting claims that he will miss the tournament due to his facial injury.

Son suffered a fracture in his orbital bone in the first half of Tottenham’s Champions League match against Marseille.

He collided with defender Chancel Mbemba and was sent off injured. As a result, questions were raised as to whether Son would be suitable for the World Cup.

However, Son has rejected claims that he could miss the upcoming tournament due to the injury. He said that playing in the showpiece was a “childhood dream” of his and that he wouldn’t miss it for anything.

Son took to Instagram to share the following message: “Hello everyone. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for the messages of support I have received over the past week.

“I’ve read so many and really appreciate you all. I got a lot of strength from you in no time! Playing for your country at the World Cup is the dream of so many kids growing up, just as it was one of mine.

“I’m not doing this for the world. I can’t wait to represent our beautiful country. Bye. Son’.
