The Blended Festival founder has disappeared after canceling dates and “running $6 million in unpaid debts” before emailing that he had suffered a minor heart attack and “will resolve and cease operations.”
Sean Evans is the CEO of My Wine Society who announced that their popular Blended Festival would be taking place for the third year in a row.
But Evans reportedly left “hundreds of employees, salespeople, talent and investors reaching out to get paid,” accruing millions in unpaid debt, according to Page six.
Blended Festival’s first concert in Nashville went ahead as planned on September 10 and 11 with artists like Lil Jon and the Chainsmokers on stage.
But there would also be more concerts in Austin, San Diego and Tampa. The Austin event was scheduled to take place on September 24 and 25, while San Diego was due to host on October 8 and 9. The dates in Tampa would be November 19 and 20.

The likes of G-Eazy and Galantis were set to take the stage at future concerts, but a third-party Instagram account for the festival, operated by a third party, announced in a message last Thursday that Evans was “absent on October 1.”.

Further news also came to light when Page six claimed to have received an e-mail from Evans on Oct. 6 that said: “Yesterday morning I had a minor heart attack, specifically a form of cardiomyopathy… It was a little scary… I have some decisions to make about my lifestyle.

Insiders said they were skeptical of the claims, telling the news website that “the legitimacy of this claim is questionable and no one can find evidence that he was hospitalized.”
A social media account for the festival, run by a third party, announced in a message last Thursday that Evans “will be absent as of October 1.”. They added: “He disabled the staff’s emails and left the team with no answers.”

When MailOnline tried to contact Blended Festival, the organization claimed that a “rogue actor” hacked into Blended Fest’s social media accounts. In an automated response, they said some information was incorrect and others true.
