Crew member on Chris Pratt movie ‘The Electric State’ dies in off-set car crash 

A crew member of a Netflix movie starring Chris Pratt died Friday in what was described as a car accident in Georgia, where the film is being shot.

Dubbed ‘The Electric State’, the film stars Pratt, Millie Bobby Brown and Stanley Tucci and is directed by prominent Marvel masterminds Joe and Anthony Russo.

A source told Deadline: ‘The production was paused today and cast and crew were provided with guidance aids.

The unidentified crew member’s death is said to have occurred ‘after work’.

Pratt and Brown were spotted on the set of the film by DailyMail.com cameras in Georgia last Wednesday, with the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star unrecognizable because he wore a wig and handlebar mustache.

The film is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Swedish author Simon Stålenhag.

It comes just days after the first anniversary of cameraman Halyna Hutchins’ accidental death by Alec Baldwin on the set of his film Rust, after he aimed a ‘prop gun’ at her which then went off and hit the 42-year-old woman and mother. -of-one in the chest and kill her.

Official investigations were launched by authorities as cast and crew members involved in the project engaged in a bitter game of blaming each other, pointing fingers and making accusations about the overall safety of the set as the world watched and Hutchins family mourned.

Brown plays an orphaned teenager who searches for her brother with the help of a robot (Jason Alexander) in Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely’s 2017 film adaptation of Stålenhag’s graphic novel.

Filmmaking siblings Joe and Anthony Russo direct The Electric State, which felt familiar to the Spanish-born, Florida-raised Brit who had worked with twins Matt and Ross Duffer on Netflix’s Stranger Things.

“It’s so funny, now I’ve worked with two brothers,” Millie said in her voice Netflix Queue digital cover story on Tuesday.

‘They actually look quite similar. One says yes to everything and the other is a bit stricter. It’s a really good balance.’

“Eleven in Stranger Things is so far beyond who I am, while Enola feels like I’m coming back to a place of normalcy and consistency,” explained the SAG Award winner.

“I can really create her character organically. . . Of course there are times when [director] Harry Bradbeer comes up to me and says, “Is that Millie or Enola?” And I say, “That’s Millie, let’s do it again!”‘

In the magazine, Millie vented about “young women being dragged down for many different things.”

“If it’s our maturity, if it’s the way we dress, if it’s the things we say, if it’s the choices we make, we’ll never be enough,” Brown lamented.

‘It is up to us to find comradeship and sisterhood in it. And to stand together and say, “We are enough.” We have to stick together and break through those stereotypes and norms.’
