Bachelorette star Gabby Windey and fiancé Erich Schwer split two months after getting engaged

Bachelorette stars Gabby Windey and Erich Schwer have called it quits.

The IC nurse, 31, and her fiancé, 29, have drawn a curtain on their romance just two months after Windey said ‘yes’ to his proposal during The Bachelorette’s season finale in September, according to Page six.

“She felt that they were not aligned and were not aligned. Gabby hoped they could give each other space to work it out, but ultimately decided they had no future,” a source told the publication.

The couple sparked rumors of a breakup on Monday when Windey said they “supported each other from a distance” during an interview.

“I think life is just really busy for both of us right now, so I understand [fans’] concern,” she said Fox News Digital after being asked why Schwer missed her Dancing With the Stars Halloween performance, having shown up earlier to support her.

“We’re just kind of, you know, moving forward with each of our individual interests and supporting each other from a distance,” she added.

The former bachelorette was also spotted without her engagement ring on the ABC series.

Eric was last seen on Windey’s Instagram three weeks ago when she snapped some snaps of him amid a photo dump, including one of them kissing.

The two became engaged during the Season 19 finale, after Schwer was initially hesitant to make a proposal so early.

After the proposal, Windey said: People she was nervous about the challenges they might face once they finished filming.

‘There is a lot of enthusiasm. There’s also some fear, because you don’t know what you’re really running into. It’s a whole new world after filming!’

The couple faced their first challenge when unflattering information about Schwer’s past was leaked online.

A high school yearbook of Schwer in blackface appeared, prompting him to apologize for his “offensive and harmful behavior.”

At the time, Gabby admitted that she didn’t know anything about the photo and, along with everyone else, learned: “[I] I just really had to process my thoughts and then think about how we can grow as a couple and learn from this,” she said.

Shortly after one of his exes leaked a text exchange between them in which he appeared to break up with him so he could get on the show and advance his career.

However, Windey admitted that the real estate analyst informed her of the texts’ existence prior to the leak because he was “afraid that they would leak.”

Windey is currently on Season 31 of Dancing with the Stars with partner Val Chmerkovskiy.
