NFL player Xavien Howard files motion to dismiss STD allegation

Footballer Xavien Howard has responded to an allegation that he knowingly gave a woman a sexually transmitted disease.

The 29-year-old Miami Dolphins cornerback has filed a motion to dismiss the complaint of an unnamed woman named Jane Doe in the lawsuit on Oct. 26.

Howard’s motion, describing the complaint as “the height of a shakedown,” was filed two days later.

Doe alleges that Howard knowingly gave her an STD during their relationship and wants a jury trial and $30,000 in damages as a result, according to the lawsuit.

But the footballer claimed that Doe was “running a campaign of stalking” with the film including photos of the alleged text messages sent by the accuser.

The lawsuit also states, “Plaintiff is fully aware that Defendant is a known NFL player.”

Howard also claims that Doe “threatened him with multiple acts of violence” and “extorted him for financial gain.”

The lawsuit goes on to describe Doe as a “despised ex-lover” who “hunted” for Howard’s “public status.”

The complaint states that Doe suffered permanent damage following Howard’s alleged negligence.

Howard is accused of knowingly giving an anonymous woman a sexually transmitted disease

“As a result of Defendant Howard’s negligence, Plaintiff has suffered permanent bodily harm within a reasonable degree of medical probability, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, aggravation of pre-existing injuries, mental distress, loss of ability to enjoy life and past and future medical expenses,” the lawsuit reads.

In the first of his five-year $90 million contract, Howard is a critical part of the Dolphins’ defense unit.

Howard was joined by Bradley Chubb in Miami this week.

The pass-rushing outside linebacker has reportedly agreed to a five-year contract extension with the Dolphins worth $119 million, which includes $63.2 million in guarantees.
