Meghan Markle has shared a glimpse of her ‘whirlwind’ morning routine in her latest Spotify podcast episode.

The Duchess of Sussex, 41, who currently lives in her $14 million California mansion along with her husband Prince Harry, 38, and their two children, Archie, three, and Lilibet, one, has today released the seventh show from her Archetypes series released.

Speaking to one of her guests, American actress Pamela Adlon, Meghan revealed in the episode ‘Good Wife/Bad Wife, Good Mom/Bad Mom’ what mornings are like for her and the Duke of Sussex at their home in Montecito.

Describing her ‘morning rush’, Meghan revealed how she and Prince Harry start the day by looking after their children – from preparing Archie’s packed lunch to feeding their three dogs and making breakfast for her family, which is ‘very important for her’.

“So I’m sure the morning rush will only get more chaotic as they get older,” Meghan said. “But for me it’s, you know, both monitors on so the kids can hear them, always awake with Lily, take her downstairs and half an hour later Archie is awake.”

She went on to say she’s ‘starting'[s] he puts his packed lunch just before he wakes up while i have her, give her a nibble, my husband helps me get him down.’

Meghan added: I make breakfast for all three of them. It’s very important to me. I love doing it. To me it just feels like the best way to start the morning.

After breakfast, the mother of two moves in to feed the family’s dogs, revealing that she and Harry recently got a third pet.

“And then it’s like we’re feeding all three dogs—because we just got another dog—and then Archie has to go out for school and, you know, but it does, it feels like a whirlwind,” she said.

Pamela then said she hopes Prince Harry will contribute to this demanding morning routine and “childhood.”

“I also hope Daddy makes a good contribution to time, childhood,” she said. To which Meghan replied, ‘Oh my man? He is great.’

The Duchess of Sussex went on to say she “bows down” to women who go through the same morning rush as single mothers, adding “it’s so hard to be a mother”.

Comedian Pamela, best known as the voice of Bobby Hill in the cartoon series King of the Hill, became a British citizen in 2020.

Meghan revealed she took the ‘Life in the UK’ test ‘a few years ago’, although LA-born and resident Ms Markle is not believed to be a British citizen, as she reportedly adopted the idea after Megxit’ has left the lurch’. Experts said she has not lived in the UK for the required three years.

She said, ‘I studied for it and I remember saying, ‘Oh my god’. I would ask my husband, “Did you know this? Did you know this?” And he would say “I had no idea”.
