A shocking video shows a mother pushing a pram and being hit at close range by fireworks as suspected gangs caused chaos in London Stratford last night.

Chaos descended on Stratford Station as individuals reportedly started throwing fireworks at groups of people on Halloween.

Several videos have been shared on social media shows fireworks going off near Westfield mall.

A short clip shows someone firing a firecracker from his hand that immediately fires and explodes at a woman pushing a stroller just a few feet away.

Elsewhere in the UK, young people caused similar chaos by setting off fireworks in public places.

The Metropolitan Police was present outside Stratford station last night and said a teenage girl has been arrested and detained at an East London police station.

A police spokesman said: ‘Police were called at 6:24 PM on Monday, October 31, saying that a group of people were setting off fireworks near Stratford bus station.

“Agents were there. No injuries were reported.

A teenage girl has been arrested after fireworks were thrown at officers. She is still detained in a police station in East London.

“The investigation is ongoing.”

While similar events took place in Dundee, where riot police were called after a group of youths set off fireworks and blocked roads with bonfires.

There were reports of vehicles being hit with rocks and people jumping on car roofs in the Scottish town. Another image showed windows being smashed at a nearby school.

Chief Superintendent Phil Davison said: “There is no justification for the behavior and disorder seen last night in the Kirkton area of ​​Dundee.

‘Investigations are underway to identify all those involved.

Throwing fireworks and other items at emergency services is reckless and dangerous. No one should go to work and expect to be attacked.

An officer suffered minor injuries and damage was caused to a school and a number of vehicles.

“I would like to reassure the Dundee public that we remain committed to keeping them safe as we understand that last night’s behavior must have been very disturbing to residents in the areas.”

On the weekend leading up to Halloween, gangs of youths threw fireworks at cars and damaged street furniture in Liverpool.
