Liverpool star Luis Diaz continues his recovery from injury as he posted an update on social media.

The Colombian forward has been a revelation since he signed a deal worth up to £50million from Porto with Liverpool in January.

He excelled on his arrival at the club, scoring 10 goals and providing eight assists in 38 games.

However, he stumbled during Liverpool’s 3-2 defeat to Arsenal last month and has been missing with a knee injury ever since.

Diaz’s absence has not been determined exactly, but he will reportedly be out until at least after the World Cup.

Diaz posted an update on both Twitter and Instagram as he continues his recovery.

On his Instagram story, he shared a photo of him lifting some weights with his injured leg, which is protected by a bandage around his knee.

He captioned the photo with two biceps flex emojis along with two flames.

Diaz continued to show off his rehabilitation work by posting on Twitter as well. The Colombian shared a photo of him doing some leg work and, perhaps positively for Liverpool fans, he had no bandages on his knee.

Diaz captioned the post this time with an hourglass emoji — suggesting time is ticking until his return, a biceps flex emoji, and a flame.

Diaz’s injury was accompanied by the loss of fellow striker Diogo Jota to Liverpool, who suffered a serious calf problem in the Reds’ 1-0 win over Manchester City.

The Portuguese forward will also miss the World Cup, so the six-week break from Premier League football is likely to come at a good time for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

In addition to the injury issues, they are also struggling in the league and are currently ninth – eight points out of the top four.
