“I grew up, born and raised here in LA. One of the few people born and raised in LA,” King said.
‘I think it’s a really cool thing and I wear it on my chest very proudly because so many people are like, “Oh, LA is this and LA is that,” and I’m like, well, you’re not out LA, so you don’t really know.”
Garner then intervened and asked the star, “But do you know where your ancestors come from?”
After a brief laugh, Regina replied, “Well… They were part of the triangular slave trade. From Sierra Leone, Liberia and Senegal.’
‘But my parents are both from the South. Met here. To this day, I am extremely grateful that my mother left.”
She added: “My mom was the one who said, ‘I’m getting out of this b***h and I’m going to see what else is out there,’ and she came to LA.”
In 2023, the conversation went viral and was brought up again in a new one TikTok video uploaded on Wednesday.

As the interviewer continued the tragic revelation, the actress said, “It’s too terrible to talk about… It’s just unimaginable…”
The TikToker turned off the video to share her own thoughts, telling her followers: “I want you to watch this clip and think, is this person acting or is this the truth?”
“And I also want you to think about why this person is constantly, constantly in the news. Constantly in paparazzi photos, constantly with her kids in paparazzi photos even though there’s nothing she’s promoting.”
“And those people are always suspicious of me,” the TikToker said. “It’s like, why are you constantly in front of me? Why is this story continually presented?’
“I’m supposed to believe that this person is a great person,” she continued, adding that she “doesn’t care” what people say in the comments.
“Because if you watch this video or observe this person and you don’t see what I’m talking about, I don’t think you have good discernment.”
The media influencer then added, “That woman is a terrible actress first and foremost. Second, if you’re a celebrity, there’s no reason you can’t just quietly write a check.”
“There’s no reason you have to run and find the nearest camera and somehow make this about yourself.”
