Pregnant Skai Jackson shows off her baby bump in casual look while taking her dog to the vet in Los Angeles

Skai Jackson looked ready to pop when she was spotted taking her dog to the vet on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old pregnant actress was spotted carrying her adorable dog Otis after his vet appointment in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Skai, who announced her pregnancy in November, showed off the outline of her prominent baby bump under a light gray T-shirt.

She kept her look simple and low-key with matching gray leggings, and she added a bit of contrast with cozy brown Ugg boots.

The Disney Channel actress — whose baby daddy was arrested late last year — wore long dark braids draped over her shoulders and back, and she added some glitter with gold heart-shaped earrings and a gold chain.

She held little Otis under one arm as she held his bet papers, and she cooled with a blue-glare beaker in her other hand.

In 2019, Skai spoke with The cut about falling in love with a dog at an adoption service when she was a nine or ten year old child actor.

That dog was adopted before she had time to pick him up, but then she discovered Otis, who was about ten months old and sick at the time.

Despite her worries and continued heartbreak over the escaped dog, Otis proved to be the perfect match for her and her family when she brought him home.

She recalled bringing the black and white dog to the set of her Disney Channel series Jessie because he “wasn’t a barker” that would distract from the production.

“Most people didn’t even know there was a dog there because it’s so quiet,” she said approvingly.

Skai’s pregnancy got off to a bumpy start last year when her baby daddy Deondre Burgin — who she initially kept anonymous — was arrested in Cincinnati, Ohio, just a day after she revealed she was expecting.

The police wrote this in a report on Wednesday, assessed by TMZ that Burgin — who the outlet identified as her boyfriend — initially fled the scene when they approached him on a parole violation warrant.

Burgin tripped, fell and suffered a cut on his cheek during the encounter, the outlet reported, after which police handcuffed him.

Burgin was released after being cited for obstructing official business, police sources told the newspaper.

Jackson defended her reported boyfriend — while stopping short of explicitly revealing his identity — after a blogger shared a post he allegedly wrote about her following her pregnancy announcement.

Shortly after she announced her pregnancy, a man named “Yerkky Yerkky” allegedly posted on Facebook: “On woop im salty, I got this stupid Disney Chanel (sic) b**** pregnant, I hate this h* *. ‘

Blogger Tasha K posted the comment on her Instagram, prompting a fiery message from Jackson and her mother Kiya Cole.

Jackson insisted her love interest’s Facebook account had been hacked, writing in the comments section: ‘His page has been hacked! He never said this. End of story.’

Her mother wrote: ‘HE NEVER SAID THIS!!!! Stop being sloppy!!!’

The post no longer appears on the page and photos of a pregnant Jackson were shared on the account with a sweet smiling face with heart emoji.

Jackson announced her pregnancy Peoplewith the outlet sharing photos of the star and her burgeoning baby bump.

Jackson is expecting her first child with her boyfriend and tells the publication, “I’m excited to start this new chapter in my life: embracing motherhood and diving into new acting projects. My heart is so full!’

In photos posted by the outlet, Jackson showed off her baby bump in a lilac crop top as she enjoyed an outing with her mom Kiya Cole.

It comes after Jackson sparked pregnancy rumors last week when he cradled her bump in Los Angeles.

The pregnancy news comes just months after Jackson was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence but not charged.

In September, it was revealed that the Los Angeles district attorney’s office declined to file charges and dropped the case against her.

She was previously arrested on August 8 at Universal Studios CityWalk in Los Angeles, California after an alleged altercation with her boyfriend.

Police responded to a call from the theme park after security personnel arrested Jackson for allegedly pushing her boyfriend.

Officers reviewed surveillance footage of the alleged incident.

No weapons were involved and there were no identifiable injuries, the sheriff confirmed at the time.

“Skai is relieved that the investigation revealed that this was nothing more than a misunderstanding,” a Jackson representative said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE.

“We appreciate that the District Attorney’s Office very quickly decided that no charges should be filed and Skai looks forward to putting this behind him,” the report continued.

At the time of her arrest, law enforcement sources told TMZ that she told arresting officers that she was “happily engaged and expecting a baby.”

The star – who avoided questions from fans about her arrest – did not have charges filed against her as prosecutors found a lack of evidence. TMZ reported.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said the case will not proceed because Jackson has no criminal history.

The alleged victim, her boyfriend, has no injuries and has not cooperated with prosecutors.

Jackson is best known for her roles on the Disney Channel sitcom Jessie and its spin-off Bunk’d, both of which ended in 2018.
