A passenger has died on board an Air France flight from Paris to Boston despite doctors trying to save them.

The traveler became ill after the flight took off from Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport on Tuesday, NBC Boston reported.

Doctors attempted to treat the individual, but they “could not be saved” and died shortly afterwards.

Emergency services were photographed at Boston Logan International Airport on Tuesday evening after the plane landed.

Police described the death as “unattended” but provided no further details.

The identity of the individual will not be released until loved ones are notified.

The Massachusetts State Police, whose criminal investigation unit responded to the scene, are investigating the death.
