Teenage girl vanishes without a trace in Sydney: Police seek urgent public assistance

A 14-year-old girl disappeared without a trace from Sydney’s south-west last night.

Mayar Bashir, 14, was last seen on Jacob Street, Bankstown, about 7.30pm on Tuesday.

Her concerned family reported her missing to police after they were unable to locate or contact her.

The police and her family are concerned about Mayar’s well-being.

Mayar is described as Middle Eastern/Mediterranean, approximately 140 cm tall, of slim build, with brown hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing black pants, a black shirt and white shoes.

She is known to frequent the Bankstown area.
