Lindsay Lohan is back.

The 36-year-old actress has returned to making movies with her own deal with Netflix; now she comes out with the November film Falling For Christmas, in which Chord Overstreet plays together.

“When I got the script, it was really comforting to see a movie that was a rom-com because it’s always nice to work on something lighthearted and family-oriented that makes people happy and offers a bit of an escape,” she told the US Edition of Cosmopolitan, Issue 7: The Work Issue.

She discussed the excitement surrounding her return to romantic comedies with Falling For Christmas, which debuts November 10.

Lindsay stars as an heiress who loses her memory after a skiing accident and is taken in by a handsome lodge owner, played by Overstreet, and his daughter.

In addition to starring in the romantic comedy, the MTV Movie Award winner is also an executive producer on the project.

“It’s a very different role that I get to play, apart from just the lead in the movie,” she explained. “It is involved in every step of the projects: the entire casting process, the editing and the production process,” says Lohan.

“And even parts of the script.”

The role also gives her a voice in “working on the costumes and wardrobe and character development.”

Her character, Sierra Belmont, is a bit of a klutz. “With this film, I specifically wanted to do more physical comedy, because I missed that.

‘And I thought, ‘We’re here, why not? I’m willing to do it. “I think the bigger you go in those situations, the better it is. You can’t be afraid of it.”

“He always says, ‘Focus on your craft when it comes to your work.’ And I think that’s very important. Don’t let other things outside cloud your view,” she said.

As for staying young, she says it’s easy.

“I love non-intrusive facial experiences, all I can do. I love lasers. I’ve just started Morpheus8, which I’m obsessed with… Here’s the trick: you have to ask them to give you the numbing cream beforehand and apply it an hour before you go home,” Lohan said.

The star admitted she has mixed feelings about the prevalence of social media.

‘It is too much. No, it’s fun. Because now I feel… when I first started in the company, none of us had a say in how we could control our own story. There were paparazzi photos, and then people ran away with them,” she explained.

“So I think it’s really good that people can say who they are and who they want to be these days. And I admire and appreciate that. I’m a little jealous because I didn’t have that. But I think it’s going really fast and I’m just trying to keep up as best I can. And I check everything before I post. I will send it to people. Because you have to.’

The former teenage star who stunned audiences as a young actress in The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, Confessions of a Drama Queen and Mean Girls in the early 2000s is now an adult and a married woman.

She and longtime beau, Bader Shammas, confirmed they tied the knot in July by making a low-key announcement on social media, with the bride writing: ‘I’m the happiest woman in the world. Not because I need a man, but because he found me and knew that I wanted to find happiness and grace at the same time.

“I’m stunned that this is my husband. My life and my everything. ❤️Every woman should feel this way every day.’

Living in Dubai allows Lindsey to live life at her own pace.

‘I cook a lot. I follow this @eatinghealthytoday on Instagram and they do these really great healthy meals. I cook a lot of Italian. I make a lot of pasta. I do a lot of an Arabic dish called machboos. It’s chicken with rice and vegetables. I make a very good borscht soup. I also go to bed very early. 9:30.’

The former child star posed for a series of sexy shots for the legendary magazine, including a bold cover photo of her styled in a tuxedo-inspired suit with a plunging neckline, with her signature red locks flowing in loose waves.

Red lipstick and nail polish accentuate her flawless complexion.
