Angel Reese’s former teammate speaks out on claims she left Chicago Sky due to the WNBA star rookie
Former Chicago Sky star Marina Mabrey has finally spoken out about her time in the Windy City and whether she left the franchise due to issues with Angel Reese.
Mabrey made it clear while filming a video with Reese as both geared up for the new unprecedented basketball competition.
Spotting Mabrey behind him, Reese called her over and asked her teammate point-blank about their time together.
“Money Mabrey, I have a plot. People want to know. Marina, did you leave Chicago because of me?’ Reese said.
‘No!’ Mabrey responded immediately, as the former teammates laughed. “I love Angel, real people know that.”
Mabrey then granted Reese’s request to twerk on her live video.

When Mabrey was traded to the Connecticut Sun in July, she said she wanted to keep the reason she left town “in-house.”
Mabrey then said he wanted to play for a team that could win championships, as the Sky failed to make the WNBA postseason last year, one of only four league teams not to do so.
Mabrey also said he came to Chicago under former head coach James Wade and had to deal with multiple systems Chicago Sun Times.
There doesn’t appear to be any bad blood between the former teammates, with them potentially facing each other multiple times in Unrivaled.
Reese is on Team Rose, while Mabrey is on Team Phantom.
