This Google Docs update wants to solve your most embarrassing work problem

Making sure your Google Docs work is as flawless as possible should soon be a lot easier thanks to a new update aimed at fixing spelling issues for good.
The office software platform has announced that it will improve spell checking in Google Docs in an effort to eradicate errors.
In the future, the word processor will underline in red all words whose spelling is not recognized, even if there is no suggestion as to what the correct form should be – hopefully it will help you recognize and correct suspicious words.

In a blog post (opens in new tab) Outlining the upgrade, the company notes that when users click on such a word, it is now labeled as an “unknown word.” Users will then be prompted to revise the word “consider”, add it to their own personal dictionary, or simply ignore the suggestion.
“This improvement will reveal more potential misspellings, allowing you to write correctly and with confidence,” notes the company.
The feature is now available to Google Docs users, but will only apply to English items for now, but will no doubt be expanded to other languages soon (as the basic spell checker is also currently available for Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and Italian ).
The update is the latest release of Google Workspace because it looks like offerings like Docs are more useful to customers around the world.
Recently, the company added a number of new “writing aids” to Google Docs, including suggestions for synonyms and sentence structures. The service will also flag any “inappropriate” language, as well as instances where the writer would be better served by using the active rather than passive voice.
Google Docs has also recently made it easier to add emojis to your work by allowing users to search and insert the symbols directly inline with your text.
Now users just need to type in “@” followed by the term, emotion, object, or whatever they need to open a pop-up menu of emojis.
