His video post started with a photo of the side of his head while showing his packed vehicle in the background.
There was a large bouquet of blue roses on the back seat, along with large black luggage bags.
“I got the flowers my mother gave me before she passed away,” he said with a positive look.
Deon’s recording depicted a fiery nighttime scene as he rushed to find refuge as the days-long flames raged through several parts of the sprawling city.
Before announcing that he had been hospitalized, he had said on Instagram that he was canceling his birthday party.
“It doesn’t feel good to have my birthday party while people are losing everything they own and I’m on high alert for my own home,” he explained.
Cole urged his fans to “pray for the families.”
And he repeated in white, all-caps text against a black background: “Due to the fires in Los Angeles, we are postponing our party at The Well. Thoughts and prayers for those who lost.”

Among the A-list stars whose homes were reduced to ashes are Ricki Lake, Paris Hilton, Jhene Aiko, Anthony Hopkins and Miles Teller.
Others, like Kim Kardashian and her famous family members, have been ordered to evacuate their homes.
The devastation in Southern California began to unfold Tuesday morning when a combination of heavy winds and lack of rain created the perfect conditions for a wildfire in the Pacific Palisades.
The flames spread quickly and as of Saturday, the Palisades fire alone has scorched more than 21,317 acres of land, with firefighters still working around the clock to contain the flames there and at other locations in LA.
