Elon Musk and Dominic Cummings ‘in plot to sabotage UK politics’: Former No 10 adviser is helping orchestrate Tesla billionaire’s attacks on Keir Starmer, government sources claim

Dominic Cummings is helping orchestrate Elon Musk’s vicious attacks on British politicians including Sir Keir Starmer, senior government sources have claimed.

Boris Johnson’s former No 10 adviser – who is planning a new ‘StartUp Party’ that he hopes will destroy the traditional Westminster system – is said to be communicating with Musk via WhatsApp.

The sources say Mr Cummings, who has called for massive cuts to the size of the British state, is advising Mr Musk on his mission to cut trillions of dollars from US government spending on behalf of new President Donald Trump.

But they also believe Cummings encouraged Musk’s inflammatory social media posts calling for Sir Keir to be removed from office and even jailed amid criticism of the Prime Minister’s record on of the scandal surrounding the ‘grooming gangs’.

Musk has also called for the ouster of Nigel Farage, although the leader of Reform UK said yesterday he was back on good terms with X’s owner.

Sources close to Mr Farage said the Tesla billionaire expressed remorse on his part and the pair have since reconciled. “Musk felt a little remorseful. It’s all going well now,” an insider told The Mail on Sunday.

Labor’s suspicions that Musk and Cummings were in cahoots were raised by the tech mogul’s use of British terminology, such as “two-tier Keir” and the timing of his posts.

Many were deported in the middle of the night in America – coinciding with daytime in Britain – leading the sources to conclude that Mr Musk “must have a British-based co-conspirator writing the messages for him”. However, tweets can be scheduled at any time.

“It’s not just Elon; Dom is in constant contact with major figures from Silicon Valley, who are becoming increasingly anti-woke.

Sources said Cummings and Musk exchanged ideas through a WhatsApp group shared with an unidentified American businessman.

It was reported that he had sought information on whether it would be possible to build support for alternative British political movements.

He also asked his 210 million online followers whether America should “liberate” Britain from its “tyrannical government.” Sir Keir accused Musk of ‘spreading lies and disinformation’.

On whether Musk’s alleged plans to oust Keir Starmer could work, a source said: “You can change things with money, let’s face it.”

Mr Cummings, who helped mastermind Mr Johnson’s 2019 election victory, resigned the following year after the collapse of his relationship with the Prime Minister and his infamous trip to Barnard Castle, which broke the Covid curfew.

It was during his brief time at No. 10 that Mr Cummings broke off his relationship with Mr Musk.

While Cummings notoriously advertised for “crazies and misfits” to join Whitehall, Musk is now looking for “small government revolutionaries with super high IQs” for his new Department for Government Efficiency.

Mr Cummings has mentioned Mr Musk on X seven times in the past month, repeating his criticism of British policy.

The ‘Startup Party’ will, he says, challenge the Westminster status quo in time for the next election. He said it would be staffed by physicists, entrepreneurs and ex-intelligence officials, and that policies would include withdrawing Britain from the European Convention on Human Rights, closing tax loopholes for the richest 1 percent, embracing technology like artificial intelligence and shaking up Whitehall.

Cummings wrote online: ‘The Startup Party isn’t a real name, it’s a placeholder, plenty of time for gruesome discussions about names if we make this happen!’

Farage’s relationship with Musk, which led to speculation that the billionaire could donate £80 million in reforms, soured after Farage disagreed with Musk’s call to free far-right activist Tommy Robinson from prison, where he is a serving a prison sentence. 18 months in prison for contempt of court for repeating a false claim about a Syrian refugee.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has faced harsh criticism from Musk, who described him as “evil” and called him “complicit in the rape of Britain.”

However, Farage has since said he has been in touch with Musk and they remain friends, insisting: ‘I don’t think there is a long-term rift. We absolutely agree that we don’t want to go to war with each other.’

A government source argued that Musk had become personally “fixated” by the grooming gang scandal and that Labor’s best strategy was to stay out of it.

Musk has also used X to attack other European governments, including those supporting the far-right AfD party.
