When Michelle Keegan will REALLY give birth to her first child and why it is such a special milestone for her and husband Mark Wright
Michelle Keegan and her husband Mark Wright are expecting a spring baby, as MailOnline can reveal the star is due to give birth in May.
The actress and her TV presenter husband, both 37, are becoming parents for the first time, just ten years after they married in a star-studded ceremony in Suffolk.
Mark and Michelle made the announcement that they were going to be first-time parents to much fanfare two weeks ago when they posted a picture-perfect photo on Instagram, but despite claims the former Coronation Street star is due to give birth within weeks, she and Mark have a wait longer.
A friend said: ‘Michelle is having a baby in May and she is so excited. It’s been exactly ten years since they got married, so what a beautiful way to have been husband and wife for ten years.
‘Michelle still has some filming to do for Brassic and will then think about putting her feet up.
‘As you can imagine, Mark and Michelle want everything to be perfect for their special arrival, so the coming months will be spent getting things ready.’

The couple, who married at Tudor country house Hengrave Hall in Suffolk on May 24, 2015, revealed they were expecting two weeks ago on December 29, surprising fans with a heartwarming photo of Michelle cradling her baby bump.
The couple captioned their post: ‘2025 will be a special year for us…’.
Michelle, known for her roles in hit shows such as Fool Me Once and Brassic, and Mark, a Heart Radio presenter and former TOWIE star, have been married since May 2015.
The couple live in a mansion in Essex that they designed and built together.
They first met backstage on The X Factor and married at St Mary’s Church in Bury St Edmunds in 2015.
The couple had chosen to keep the news private for as long as possible and first share it with close friends and family in the fall.
The photo used to announce their pregnancy was reportedly taken during a November getaway to Mallorca, one of their favorite destinations.
Michelle and Mark had started sharing the news with close friends and family earlier this fall, but kept it a secret until their public announcement.
Michelle’s pregnancy follows a successful year professionally.

Mark is already an uncle to the two children of footballer brother Josh and sister Jess’s son and has spoken over the years about wanting to one day become a father himself
Michelle, known for her roles in hit shows such as Fool Me Once and Brassic, and Mark, a Heart Radio presenter and former TOWIE star, have been married since May 2015.
Her Netflix series Fool Me Once, an adaptation of Harlan Coben’s novel, became a global sensation with more than 98 million views in just 91 days.
Michelle played Maya Stern, a military pilot, in the drama, which cemented her status as a leading actress.
She initially rose to fame in Coronation Street, where she played Tina McIntyre for six years before leaving in 2014. Since then, Michelle has taken on roles in Our Girl, Ten Pound Poms and the Sky comedy series Brassic, in which she stars as Erin.
Mark, who found fame on TOWIE, has also enjoyed a varied career including stints on I’m A Celebrity and Strictly Come Dancing.
The couple have opened up about the challenges they faced during Mark’s stint in Los Angeles as a presenter for Extra TV, which required them to build a long-distance relationship.
But the pair continued to work together on projects such as their £1.3million Essex mansion, documented on their shared Instagram page, @wrightyhome.
During a 2019 interview, Michelle, who was 32 at the time, spoke of her “frustration” at constantly being asked when she and Mark were planning to start a family, saying: “These days you shouldn’t ask questions.” Like this.’
She said: ‘They don’t know the background of what’s happening. It’s no one else’s business.
‘I get so frustrated. I am asked purely because I am a woman. But I’m immune to it now – it’s like a reaction and as soon as I hear it I brush it off because it’s no one else’s business.’
Michelle’s representatives declined to comment.
