Kyren Lacy’s agent breaks silence on negligent homicide arrest warrant for top NFL Draft prospect

Kyren Lacy, the top NFL Draft prospect for whom Louisiana police have an arrest warrant, is fully cooperating with authorities, his agent says.

Louisiana police said in a statement Friday that they want Lacy to charge negligent homicide after he allegedly fled a crash scene where his driving caused a crash that killed a 78-year-old former Marine.

The 24-year-old was considered by many to be a top pick in this year’s Draft and he declared for the NFL just two days after the crash.

His agent, Rocky Arceneaux, posted a statement on social media saying, “We are aware of the allegations that have been made about Kyren Lacy, and we want to take this opportunity to address them.

“First and foremost, Kyren is cooperating fully with the authorities. We are confident that the facts will ultimately prove the truth, but we respect the need for a full and thorough investigation.

“We recognize the concerns and questions that may arise from these recent allegations. To anyone directly or indirectly affected, we would like to reassure that this matter is being taken very seriously and that we are committed to resolving it in a responsible manner.

“Out of respect for the investigation and everyone involved, we will have no further comment at this time.”
