Deborra-Lee Furness will break cover at the 2025 Australian Open after her ex Hugh Jackman went public with his new girlfriend Sutton Foster
Deborra-Lee Furness will reportedly break cover at the Australian Open in her first sighting since her ex Hugh Jackman went public with his new romance.
The Australian producer, 69, was married to Hollywood megastar Hugh, 56, for 27 years before they announced their shock split in September 2023.
Hugh was then hit with speculation that he had moved on with American actress Sutton Foster, and the couple finally made their romance public this week.
Deb has been noticeably silent about her ex-husband’s new relationship so far, but she is reportedly planning to take cover at the 2025 Australian Open in Melbourne.
She is expected to sit alongside her and Hugh’s two children Oscar, 24, and Ava, 19, as guests of Emirates for the women’s tennis final, according to the Herald Sun.
Deb may also make more appearances at earlier matches during the world-famous tournament at Melbourne Park after it officially starts on Sunday.

After splitting from Deb in 2023, Hugh was hit with speculation that he had moved on with Sutton Foster (both pictured in 2022), and the couple finally made their romance public this week.
It comes days after it was claimed Deb was ‘relieved’ when she saw the pictures of Hugh and Sutton together, while insiders said she can now finally move on.
“Deborra-Lee feels a sense of relief to be honest with you,” a source exclusively told DailyMail.com.
‘She trusted her intuition and her intuition was right. She finally feels at ease after receiving confirmation that her fears and suspicions were justified.
“She can now completely close this chapter and move on.”
Hugh finally got official with his new girlfriend Sutton on Monday during a date night in Santa Monica, California, more than a year after his shock divorce from Deb.
After months of speculation, Hugh and Sutton made things official when they were spotted holding hands and looking happier than ever as they strolled the streets.
Hugh and Sutton previously shared the stage on Broadway when they starred in a critically acclaimed production of the classic musical The Music Man in 2022.
The friends subsequently bonded over their individual marital problems, but only began a romance once he was “out of the heartbreak that his relationship ended.”
Deb (pictured with Hugh in May 2023) has been remarkably silent about her ex-husband’s new relationship so far, but she is reportedly planning to take cover at the 2025 Australian Open.
“Things had been very rudimentary between Deborra-Lee and Hugh post-pandemic,” the insider continued.
‘Their relationship was not the same. Hugh had to move with his feelings.
‘He had such a special bond with Deborra-Lee, but that is now over and he has to do what is right for him.’
Hugh and Sutton are said to have made the decision to finally make their romance public because they are ‘no longer interested in hiding their love’.
“Enough time has passed for Hugh to stop playing games and hiding his feelings and his relationship,” the insider said.
“They both wanted to be considerate of their exes and anyone who might be upset, but they’re not interested in hiding.
Hugh was married to Deb for 27 years before they announced their shock split in September 2023.
“We are blessed to have had a beautiful, loving marriage together as husband and wife for nearly three decades,” the couple said in a joint statement at the time.

“Our journey is now changing and we have decided to part ways to pursue our individual growth.
‘Our family is and will remain our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love and kindness.
“We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition throughout our lives.”
Meanwhile, Sutton filed for an uncontested divorce from her husband Ted Griffin in October last year.
She has been married to the 53-year-old screenwriter for ten years and they share daughter Emily, seven.
