Dr. Dre’s $40M Brentwood mega mansion remains untouched as nearby LA fires continue to rage on
New photos from Dr. Dre’s $40 million mega-mansion have been released amid the nearby and ongoing Palisades fire that has burned more than 10,000 structures.
Dre purchased the 18,298-square-foot home in 2014 from previous owners Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen.
The castle-inspired mansion sits on four acres with a moat filled with coy fish surrounding the house.
Access to the five-bedroom, nine-bathroom home is via a bridge over the canal.
The house also features an underground sound studio the size of the house where Dre can continue to produce music.
The property offers ocean views from its location in the hills of the Tony Los Angeles neighborhood.

The home has a chef’s kitchen, gym and sauna, movie theater, library, and seven fireplaces to keep things cozy.
The garden features an infinity pool, a cabana, a lawn and a pond with a waterfall.
Brentwood borders Pacific Palisades and Dre’s home is not far from homes and businesses that have been evacuated and burned.
Other celebrities who live near Dre include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jennifer Garner, Cindy Crawford and Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart.
The Palisades fire started Tuesday morning and the Eaton fire in Pasadena started not long after.
More than 180,000 people in Los Angeles have been evacuated, a modest estimate of 10,000 buildings have been damaged or destroyed and at least 10 people have lost their lives.
Five additional fires are burning in Topanga/Calabasas, Acton, Simi Valley, the Hollywood Hills and Northridge/Grenada Hills.
The fires were fueled by Santa Ana winds, which saw gusts of up to 80 to 100 miles per hour on Tuesday and Wednesday as firefighters tried to control the blazes.

Entire neighborhoods in Pacific Palisades and Altadena have been wiped off the map by the fires.
The Calabasas fire, dubbed the Kenneth Fire, was reportedly caused by an arsonist who was apprehended by police.
A total of 29,053 hectares of land was scorched Friday morning in Los Angeles’ worst fire yet.
Many celebrities saw their multi-million dollar homes razed to the ground as the fire spread to Hollywood Hills and Calabasas.
Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, Miles Teller and Keleigh Sperry Teller, Miley Cyrus, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Eugene Levy saw their homes razed by the fires.
So did Anna Faris, Anthony Hopkins, Mel Gibson, John Goodman, Melissa Rivers, Paris Hilton and Mandy Moore, Jeff Bridges, Jhene Aiko, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag and Cary Elwes.
Billy Crystal made a statement about the loss of his home, saying, “Janice and I had lived in our home since 1979. We raised our children and grandchildren here.
“Every inch of our home was filled with love. Beautiful memories that cannot be taken away.

“We are of course heartbroken, but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this.”
Spencer Pratt was spotted watching the flames move toward his home in the Palisades on Tuesday and admitted he was in shock and admitted his Instagram video was quite “unhinged.”
“If your house burns down and you have nothing, and your parents’ house burns down and they have nothing. There’s only one thing that might make you feel better: a bag of bagels!’ he said cheerfully.
“Obviously I’m in shock and my brain isn’t functioning so I think this is the most unhinged post you’ve ever seen.”
Sources told TMZ that Pratt and Montag’s home was completely destroyed on Tuesday after it caught fire.
Fortunately, the couple and their two sons were able to evacuate safely earlier in the day before the flames got too close.
