Pacific Palisades fires cause Beverly Hills Hotel to ‘overflow with millionaires’ as stars like Reese Witherspoon may lose their homes
The fires in the very affluent Pacific Palisades neighborhood have sent people literally running for their lives.
More than 30,000 people have been evacuated, often alone with their small pets and the shirts on their backs.
And DailyMail.com has learned that many of the super-rich have flocked to the luxury hotels in nearby Beverly Hills, which charge $700 a night, so they can feel comfortable.
Several top hotels such as the Beverly Hills Hotel, The Four Seasons Beverly Hills, the Peninsula Hotel and the Waldorf Astoria are all sold out.
A source told DailyMail.com that they went out of their way to get first-class accommodation.
‘I evacuated early and immediately called the Hilton. They had 2 rooms left. I feel lucky that I was able to get in,” said Lisa Ann, a longtime Palisades resident.
