Cher, 78, admits she doesn’t know who she lost her virginity to in hilarious interview as she declares ‘I don’t remember the guy’
Cher admitted she doesn’t know who she lost her virginity to while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday.
The music legend, 78, (born Cheryl Sarkisian) got candid about her life when she spoke to the chat show host about her memoir at his Los Angeles studio.
Jimmy noted that in her memoir, Cher talks about the night she lost her virginity to a man in Toluca Lake – which he said wasn’t far from the studio.
But Cher seemed to have forgotten that she had noted that personal detail in her book and burst out laughing.
Jimmy then asked if she could point out the spot nearby where it happened.
“I wouldn’t remember the place and I can’t remember the man!” Cher declared it, as the crowd said

As Cher sat down to talk to Jimmy, the chat show host asked, “You wrote about losing your virginity to a man in Toluca Lake.
“Yes, I did?” Cher asked in surprise, before laughing and turning to the audience.
Jimmy continued, “Which isn’t far from here – do you think we can find the place? Do you think you would know?’
Cher laughed as she replied, “I wouldn’t remember the place, and I can’t remember the man!”
“He hasn’t contacted you?” Jimmy asked. “You know he told everyone, right?”
Cher said, “No. I’ve got people there that I’ve mentioned and I wonder what they think?’
During her Jimmy Kimmel appearance, the singer opened up about why she stuck with Sonny Bono for so long while promoting part one of her new memoir.
She first rose to fame in the mid-1960s as part of the duo Sonny & Cher, during her tumultuous marriage to Sonny from 1964 to 1975.

They also starred in The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour, which debuted in 1971 and which the pop icon credits with keeping their marriage together for so long.
‘I have to tell you something. Doing the show kept us together because we had so much fun during the show. We were equal, you know?’ Cher began.
“That was – I mean, I loved – I loved it. We loved it. We worked so well together. We had so much fun, and it really kept us closer together for longer than I really wanted.”
She also mentions a man she mentioned in the book but wouldn’t name on television, who was instrumental in helping Cher leave Sonny.
Cher said, “I’ve got people there that I’ve mentioned, and I wonder, you know, what they’re thinking. Like one man in particular who… he was instrumental in helping me leave Sonny.
“I’m wondering, I mentioned his whole name, so I’m wondering, what does he think about it? But he should feel good because he was a very good person.’
She added that she believes this specific person is currently in Texas, although she became angry when Jimmy tried to find him and get on the phone.

The first part of her memoir – which covers her early years before she took a break from music to focus on acting – was released in November 2024, with the second part set to be released in November 2025.
However, Cher laughingly admitted that she hadn’t even started the second half yet because Jimmy wondered if the book would actually be released in November.
‘I was late. I was at the end of it all, and I finished it when they had to publish it,” Cher admitted.
‘My book came out on the date they wanted to release it. But it’s just… I’m a little late. But I think things will go better for me this time.”
