Pregnant woman sparks fierce parenting debate with list of things she will NOT be doing for her baby
A pregnant woman has raised eyebrows with her ambitious baby plan, while other parents warned her that even the best-laid plans go wrong.
Fashion and beauty influencer Isabella Lux posted a video sharing exactly how she planned to spend the weeks after giving birth.
The baby plan – which she assured users she was “not joking about” – included a list of rules to follow after giving birth.
The first didn’t call her family immediately after the baby was born.
“It’s a tip I saw on TikTok that literally changed brain chemistry,” the influencer shared in the video. “I’m not going to call anyone right away, not even my own family.”
Isabelle explained that as soon as you call people, they want to meet the baby, or call constantly.
‘No. I’m going to have some time off, I’m going to take in my little baby, I’ll literally call you later.”
Next on the list was beauty boot camp, which she claims will start “literally right away.”

“I’m talking about acids, I’m talking about retinol – everything I haven’t been allowed to do in the last nine months, I’m going to do immediately,” she declared.
The expectant mother added that she will do so as soon as she is allowed to exercise again.
“Cold plunges, steam rooms, saunas, hot tubs, all that stuff – I’m so excited,” she gushed.
The next part of the plan was called the ‘5/5/5 rule’ – meaning that after giving birth, she will spend five days in bed, five days on the bed, and five days around the bed.
“So fifteen days in total,” she said. ‘Super important for recovery, but it does mean your husband will have to be given a lot of slack because if the baby cries you won’t get up to pick the baby up or find out what’s going on. No, the baby will be brought to you so you can make a full recovery,” she said.
In a similar vein, Isabelle says she won’t be changing diapers for the first three weeks.
“I don’t care if it’s day or night,” she declared. “I’m not going to change any diapers.”
“My whole body, my hormonal system, everything I’m going through is in recovery mode,” she continued.

Although Isabelle seemed very confident in her plan, the video was ridiculed on Reddit by parents who were quick to point out that babies rarely behave the way you think they will.
She added, “There’s no way I’m going to add anything to my plate. I have to feed the baby, I have to feed myself and I have to sleep.”
Her next no-no’s included no light-up toys, no baby music, and no baby media.
“We don’t need that,” she claimed.
Isabelle also stated that she and her husband will not be feeding their baby American formula.
“Even the best American formulas are rubbish compared to the standard German ones,” she claimed.
“So we’re literally having my husband’s family transport a bunch of containers,” Isabelle added.
She added that she will try to breastfeed, but if she needs it, she will use formula.
Last but not least, Isabelle said she still plans to travel abroad, even with a small child.
“No,” the expectant mother declared. “In five months we plan to go to the south of France for a few weeks, we’ll go shopping, we’ll hang out,” she summed up.
The influencer said the family also plans to travel to Austria, and will head to Switzerland for skiing next winter.
“This baby is going with me everywhere, and you better believe we’re going to travel,” she joked.

‘Beauty boot camp directs me much more. She’s a first-time mother, right? Self-care is important but I found it more like passing out in bed when someone was around to watch the baby for me lol,” one user laughed.
“I think the bad thing about this is that you can plan exactly what kind of mom you want to be, and then reality sets in and you have to do what you have to do to save your sanity,” one Reddit user wrote:
They continued: ‘No chicken nuggets, no plastic toys, no children’s music, blah blah blah. I never thought I would cry because my child refused food, but after weeks of begging him to eat what I prepared, I fucking gave up and handed over the nuggets. I couldn’t handle it anymore. Good luck, girl. The best laid plans…’
‘Eh, I actually think that diaper is fair. She carried the baby for nine months, her husband can cope with diapers for a while while she recovers from the birth. Obviously not everyone has that luxury, but personally I don’t think it’s that controversial,” one user reasoned.
