Businesswoman books out entire Florida Keys hotel for $20,000 so she can ‘relax without any riff-raff or noisy kids around’

A businesswoman booked an entire hotel for her birthday so she could meditate on the beach without ‘scum’ or noisy children.

Former model and actress Victoria Unikel says she spent more than $20,000 (£16,000) on a 24-hour stay to celebrate her 47th birthday at the hotel in the Florida Keys, US.

She spent the enormous sum, which was ‘discounted’ because it was the middle of the week, so she could enjoy meditation alone on the estate’s private sandy strip.

With no one else staying, she and her husband, Gene Avakyan, said they were able to relax and hear the birds without any disturbance.

Footage shows Victoria meditating with her legs crossed on a lounger on a deserted beach, to ‘relax’ and also ‘manifest’ future successes.

Victoria from Miami said: ‘I booked the hotel for my birthday. It was fun and allowed me to avoid noisy kids and crowds.

‘At the hotel I relaxed at the beach and the pool, went to the restaurant and walked around.

‘But my favorite thing to do was meditate. I did this on the lounge chair on the beach.

‘Because there was no one around, it was very quiet and easier to meditate, and we could hear and enjoy the birds.

‘My meditation is not just to help me calm down. It also allows me to manifest future events – and it works.

‘[Booking out the whole hotel] I’ve gotten rid of the general scum normally found in hotels that I don’t like.

“And while it was a unique experience, I don’t think I’ll do it again next year.”

Victoria co-founded the VUGA Media Group with Gene and is also a children’s book author. She publishes her debut novel – ‘Emma + Luke = Disappear to nowhere‘ – in November, while the story was released on Audible last month.

Despite her successes in numerous sectors, Victoria is still not satisfied and will release a collection of luxury travelwear called ‘RCH BTCH’ later this year, through her fashion brand Unikel Couture.

She says the collection focuses on “versatility,” allowing business professionals to enjoy their vacation while still being appropriately dressed for virtual meetings.

Victoria said: ‘I’m not 100 per cent satisfied. I want more. I don’t understand the concept of retirement and don’t want to retire.

‘I appreciate traveling and the experiences it brings.

‘I’m working on a luxury travel collection with which you can travel and go to meetings and with clothing from the collection [as they are appropriate for the office].’
