Sadie Frost pays tribute to ‘perfect dad’ Jude Law as wistful star shares a 27 year old photo of herself and her ex-husband with Instagram followers

Sadie Frost was in a wistful mood as she shared her latest post with Instagram followers on Monday.

The actress posted a photo of herself and her then-husband Jude Law, originally taken in 1997 – at the height of their infamy as members of the Primrose Hill set – as they attended a red carpet event.

Frost and Law eventually divorced in 2003, but remained on amicable terms while raising their three children: Rafferty, 28, Iris, 24, and Rudy, 22.

And the British star referenced her close bond with Law, 52 – who exchanged vows with psychologist Phillipa Coan for a second time in 2019 – as she looked back on old times.

In her last post, she wrote, “Me and Jude, way back when… he was the perfect father to @rafflaw @irislaw @rudyindianlaw and I will always cherish this and the time we had.”

Frost, 59, recently became a grandmother after daughter-in-law Charlotte Mallory gave birth to her first child in November.

Frost was married to Law from 1997 to 2003 after they met in 1994 and quickly fell in love (the couple are pictured in 1996)

Tattoo artist Charlotte, 33, is married to Finlay Munro Kemp, also 33, Sadie’s son with her first husband, Spandau Ballet guitarist Gary Kemp.

Speaking in April, Frost confirmed she is single after ending her eight-year relationship with businessman Darren Strowger.

She told me The times: ‘Yes, yes [I’m single]. But I think my choices in men are better now. Like, [a boyfriend now has to be] someone who has worked on himself, someone who is not just concerned with the outside and does not always have something to prove.

‘Someone who is not always right.’

‘I decided to spend time alone because of all the changes in my life, because of work and the house. “I want to live the life I want to live,” she said at the time.

‘Maybe it sounds incredibly selfish, but my children finally are [at an age where] I don’t have to worry about that – and I’m on a mission for me.’

She added that she is single and not dating, but she has no regrets about her past relationships.

In his speech, Jude addressed his family and thanked them for their support in pursuing his acting career

‘I’ve been in relationships for a long time and I’m quite happy to be alone now. It feels really good,” she said.

Second husband Jude was supported by second wife Phillipa and children Iris and Rafferty when he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in December.

Jude and Phillipa secretly welcomed their second child together – the actor’s seventh – last February.

In his speech, Jude addressed his family and thanked them for their support as he continued his acting career.

He said: “I have been very lucky to have had a family around me who followed and supported my passion for acting and filmmaking.

“And some of those members of my dear family are here today. And they know what they mean to me. I love them so much.’

The actor is also father to 15-year-old daughter Sophia with model Samantha Burke and Ada, nine, with singer-songwriter Catherine Harding.
