Charlotte Chilton hits back at ex Conor Maynard by revealing her own anti-anxiety medication after singer begged social media followers for help with mental health struggle
Charlotte Chilton has responded to ex Conor Maynard after the singer claimed a previously undisclosed battle with anxiety was the cause of his months-long absence from social media.
Maynard, 32, begged Instagram followers for advice on Monday as he weighed the possibility of using prescription medication to ease his symptoms after revealing his struggles with the cognitive disorder.
The singer was previously attacked by Chilton for apparently failing to acknowledge their three-month-old daughter Penelope after they conceived the child during a one-night stand.
And as she returned to her own Instagram platform on Monday afternoon, 33-year-old Chilton, a former contestant on Channel 4 show The Traitors, appeared to take another look at Maynard.
She shared a photo of a box of sertraline and wrote: “100 mg for the past year, doing well.”
Sertraline – also sold under the name Zoloft – is a commonly prescribed antidepressant that can also be used to treat anxiety disorders.

Chilton welcomed daughter Penelope in September after a one-night stand with Maynard.
But she insists the singer ghosted her online after discovering she was pregnant and has yet to express any interest in the child, who has reportedly been suffering from “tummy problems” in recent weeks.
When he took to Instagram in December — his first social media activity in a month — Maynard admitted he was struggling emotionally and indecisive about the option of taking prescription medications.
Reaching out to his followers, he wrote: “Has anyone here ever been prescribed diazepam, but their anxiety is so bad that they are literally too anxious to actually take it?
‘Please reach out if you have ever been in this position. I can’t believe I’m even posting this, but at this point I’m not sure what else to do.”
He added, “Sorry I haven’t posted in over a month. This message kind of points to the why.’
Diazepam, commonly known as Valium, is a prescription-only medication typically used to treat anxiety disorders, insomnia, seizures, and the effects of drug and alcohol withdrawal.

Chilton revealed in June that the singer, whose sister is dating The Traitors winner Harry Clarke, was the father of her unborn child. She said he ghosted her after she found out she was pregnant and then refused to acknowledge the baby.
Speak with OK!she said, “He knows [I’ve given birth] I didn’t hear anything, I had a real torment about whether to contact him if she was here or not.
“And I thought, I don’t want to talk to him, but he has a right to know. I knew that if I didn’t reach out, people would say I hadn’t bothered.’
Chilton also spoke candidly about her postpartum anxiety and the fact that Penelope looks just like her dad.
“There have been days when I’ve been in tears because I’ve been sitting here thinking, ‘I have a daughter who looks damn identical to you.’
She further discussed whether she wanted Maynard to be a part of her daughter’s life, saying, “If she wants to walk away from him, that’s fine, but she has to make that decision for herself when she’s older, I’m not going.” to refuse her contact if he decides he wants to see her.’
Chilton also revealed that her ex-wife Laura had supported her after the pair initially had a war of words following the announcement of her pregnancy.
She wrote on Instagram: ‘Princess Penelope has arrived and we have enjoyed our ‘Penelope bubble’ so much that I will be off the radar for a little longer while I enjoy these magical moments with my precious girl!!

Appearing on Loose Women in July, Chilton claimed Maynard ‘ghosts’ her and when asked if she is in contact with him, he replied: ‘I am in contact, he isn’t.’
When asked if she wants the singer to be part of her child’s life, she said: ‘This is a difficult question. I’m always torn about what’s best for her. With me and my mental health and the damage he did to me, no.
“But I’m an adult and I have to put her first. I would like it for her at some point in her life. I don’t think it makes much sense at this stage, but it has to be Penelope’s decision.’

In the post, the reality star wore a bright yellow sweater as she snuggled up to her girl, who looked adorable in a pink outfit with a white lace bow on her head.
She captioned her photo: “Saturday cuddling with my angel!! After a few medical issues she is super needy, but she is my little warrior princess!
“I am still so proud of my daughter and how she has tackled these issues in her own way… we are a small team.”
