TV fans have been left ‘frenzied’ by a new game show which they claim ‘promotes the worst of human nature’.
Some viewers have compared the new Prime Video series Beast Games to the hit film franchise The Hunger Games.
Beast Games, which debuted on the Amazon streaming service on December 19, is hosted by YouTuber Mr Beast, aka Jimmy Donaldson, who created the show.
The new game show has already got a lot of people talking, but not necessarily for the right reasons.
It sees 1,000 participants compete for the $5 million prize money in a number of different challenges, which are being compared to scenes from Netflix’s Squid Games and The Hunger Games.
Some are very unimpressed with what they have seen so far and have taken to social media to air their grievances.

Another said: ‘Beast Games is historically a terrible slog. Just disgraceful.’
“I just watched episode 1 of Beast Games and I literally feel sick. There is something so evil about packaging this sadistic working class torture porn as entertainment,” a third tweeted.
Despite some negative reviews, other viewers liked what they watched.
One said: ‘Beast Games on Amazing Prime is a good show!’
“Beast Games is crazy good,” another admitted.
A third wrote: ‘Yoooo watched the first two episodes of #BeastGames last night @mrbeast INSANE dare I say better than Squid Games.’

The next one will be released on Boxing Day, followed by weekly episodes.
Filming for the first round of the show took place in July this year, followed by the second in August.
The official Beast Games trailer was released on YouTube in December.
It started when Mr. Beast said, “I’m up for five million dollars, the grand prize of the most insane competition show you’ve ever seen.
‘And that’s what these 1,000 participants are fighting for!’
You see a player say to the camera, “That’s never been done on TV before!” after a train crashes into a car on a railway line.
In another scene, several participants are clearly very emotional and have tears running down their cheeks.
“My heart is broken into pieces right now,” one person said.
Mr. Beast ends the trailer saying, “Which of these players will make entertainment history and win five million dollars?”
The real name of the show’s host, Mr Beast, is James Stephen Jimmy Donaldson.
He has a whopping 338 million subscribers on YouTube.
