Love Game! Tennis glamour couple Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter spotted for the first time after engagement hand-in-hand
Tennis glam couple Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter have been spotted strolling hand in hand on Christmas Eve for the first time since announcing their engagement on Monday.
The Australian and British sports stars announced on Instagram on Monday that they were ‘hiding a secret’ from their fans.
The pair beamed as they surprised their followers by announcing that the 25-year-old Australian tennis star had popped the question.
On Tuesday, the lovebirds radiated happiness as they stepped out hand-in-hand for a peaceful stroll through Sydney CBD.
De Minaur, 25, wore a gray branded T-shirt and matching baseball cap and cargo shorts for the relaxed outing, while his fiancée, 28, looked relaxed in a maroon Ralph Lauren sweater and navy blue track pants.
The newly engaged sporty power duo clasped their fingers in a polite display of PDA as they pounded the pavement and took in the Christmas lights.

It was a nice show of affection during the holidays before they could compete against each other on the tennis court in a few weeks.
Australia and Great Britain have been drawn into the same group for the United Cup, which starts on December 27.
The two countries will face off on the final day of the round robin, and there is a good chance that Boulter, 28, and De Minaur could go head-to-head in the mixed doubles, following the singles draw.
“I wouldn’t say I was happy with the idea of playing against him again,” Boulter told Eurosport.
The British athlete was pictured in her engagement announcement on Monday, wrapping her left arm around her Australian boyfriend’s neck as she revealed her gorgeous sparkler.
After first meeting on the professional tennis circuit, they had run into each other while out for coffee at six in the morning. It was here that their relationship blossomed and Boulter admitted that it was then that she knew he was the one.
“We met at six in the morning and ended up having coffee. From that moment on I knew I was in it for the long haul,” Boulter had previously told The Age.
Both have had excellent years on the WTA and ATP Tours, with Boulter winning in Nottingham and San Diego.

De Minaur also ended his 2024 with a huge win at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown, rebounding from his disappointing ATP Finals in Turin where he failed to win a match.
Over the years, the pair have captured the hearts of many tennis fans due to their blossoming relationship, with Boulter and De Minaur both regularly seen in the stands playing each other.
‘Growing up, I was always very close to my grandfather: I always told myself that if I could find someone who has half his heart, I would be the luckiest woman in the world. I have found that person in Alex,” Boulter told The Age.
‘He always puts me before himself and takes care of the people around him: his family and his team. He is my best example of what I want to be.”
The couple celebrated their four-year anniversary in March and were again seen showing support at Wimbledon this year, where they also went for coffee during the tournament week.
Many from the sports world took to Instagram on Monday to congratulate the couple on their engagement, including British star Emma Raducanu and Australian player Thanasi Kokkinakis, who joked that it was “about damn time.”
Boulter and De Minaur are known for supporting each other when they appear in court. The Australian notably rushed across Roland Garros after his first round victory at this year’s French Open against Alex Michelsen to face Boulter in her late-night match against Paula Badosa.
Although they will both look to seal victory for their national side next week, Boulter said the pair have a healthy rivalry.
“We think it’s really good,” she said of the rivalry.
“We like to tease each other a little bit, and I think we go about it that way rather than some other way.
‘We know we support each other. It’s such an important start to each other’s years and we will always do everything we can for our country.
“At the end of the day, we’re still going to go home, be together and get through it together.”
