Texas woman ‘spent hours trying to flush dead female fetus down Whataburger toilet’

A woman has been arrested after allegedly trying to flush her fetus down the toilet at a Whataburger restaurant in Texas.

Mallori Patrice Strait, 33, reportedly entered a Whataburger in Converse, Texas, around midnight on Thursday and stayed in the lobby for about two hours before going to the restroom.

She entered the restroom around 2 a.m. and remained inside for several hours, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by KENS.

Staff at the fast food chain became concerned when Strait was left in the bathroom for hours, with witnesses saying she was making strange noises in a stall.

According to the affidavit, a manager provided her with water in an attempt to help her.

When Strait continued to stay in the restroom, the manager told her she had to leave. Concerned for her well-being, the manager eventually called the police.

Bexar County deputies arrived on scene and began questioning Strait, who was reportedly uncooperative.

Law enforcement officers detained her while the Converse Fire Department also responded to the scene.

During their investigation, officers discovered what they described as “humanoid material” in the toilet.

Strait and the remains were transported to a local hospital.

The fetus, later identified as a girl, was still enclosed in the amniotic sac.

Medical professionals determined that Strait was approximately 28 to 30 weeks pregnant at the time of the incident.

The affidavit revealed that the baby appeared to have suffered a head injury, indicating that she may have been forcibly pushed down the toilet.

As she was being transported to the hospital, Strait reportedly apologized and told emergency personnel, “I’m sorry, I’m not selfish.”

The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet determined the exact cause and manner of death.

Strait has since been charged with abuse of a corpse, according to the arrest affidavit.

The case remains under investigation and further details have not yet been released.
