The footy WAG and model have called a halt to the trend of editing and filtering social media images and says she will not retouch her own images.

‘I will never change my photos, like in [use] those filters that can change your nose and your lips and your cheeks,” the 31-year-old told this week Stellar magazine.

“That’s something I just don’t do. I think it’s really, really toxic. You have to realize that not everything you see online is real.’

Jesinta went on to say that she is quickly ditching all social media accounts that make her uncomfortable.

“If I see something that makes me question my self-esteem in my body, I just unfollow those accounts. It’s not worth it,” she said.

The beauty went on to say that she often doesn’t recognize influencers she follows on Instagram when she meets them in person.

‘It’s always so interesting to see people in real life that I’ve followed on Instagram and [who] use those heavy filters and editing,” she said.

“Sometimes you feel like you’re not looking at the same person. There have been times when I’ve looked at people, and even followed them on Instagram, and didn’t recognize them in person. It could have changed a lot.”

It comes after the model praised Seafolly for not retouching her photos as she runs a new international campaign for the Australian swimwear brand.

The wife of AFL star Lance “Buddy” Franklin posted one of the images on Instagram showing her in a bikini behind the wheel of a van.

Jesinta thanked Seafolly’s PR team for not getting rid of the “wrinkled” skin on her stomach she has from “growing my babies.”

‘How cool is this? Seafolly did not retouch the loose skin you can see on my stomach from my babies growing in this photo,” she wrote.

“I haven’t seen these photos and I know it’s not super obvious, but it really makes me so happy to see such a big brand posting photos like this untouched.”

Jesinta continues: ‘Believe me, it’s not common for campaign images to have minimal to no retouching. Love it. Thank you, team.

Jesinta announced earlier this month that she was partnering with Seafolly to become the face of the fashion brand in Australia, the United States and parts of Asia.

She has done local campaign work with Seafolly before, but this is her first stint as a global ambassador.

The footy WAG said at the time that she felt “insecure” about her body since giving birth and saw the ambassadorship as a way to boost her confidence.

Jesinta originally rose to fame in 2010 when she was crowned Miss Universe Australia.

She married Buddy of the Sydney Swans in Mount Wilson’s Wildenstein Gardens in the Blue Mountains, NSW, in 2016 after four years of courtship.

They are parents to daughter Tullulah, two, and son Rocky, one.
