Priest is charged after being accused of despicable act with teenager he met online
A priest has been charged for allegedly grooming a 14-year-old boy online.
The 77-year-old was arrested in Pendle Hill, western Sydney, at noon on Monday.
He was taken to Granville Police Station where he was charged with two offences.
The charges included using a carriage service under the age of 16 for sex with another and using a carriage service to send indecent material to a person under the age of 16.
The priest was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday.
