Travis Hunter deletes Instagram as rumors swirl over his fiancee… as Colorado teammate speaks out
Travis Hunter appeared to delete his Instagram on Sunday night as his relationship with fiancée Leanna Lenee came under increasing scrutiny on social media.
The Colorado Buffaloes star who won the Heisman Trophy last week, he took a closer look at his romance with Lenee due to a pair of viral moments in recent weeks as fans supported him moving from college football to the NFL.
In the aftermath of his team’s 52-0 victory over the Oklahoma State Cowboys in late November, he and Lenee appeared to have an argument as he returned to the field. She even seemed to turn her face away when he went to kiss her.
When the 21-year-old won the Heisman Trophy last week, Lenee was criticized for her subdued reaction as he celebrated.
In a separate incident, 23-year-old Lenee also appeared displeased with Hunter for posing for photos with female fans.
Before his account disappeared on Sunday, fans even speculated whether Lenee had been faithful to Hunter during their relationship.

Hunter’s Colorado teammate slammed people targeting Hunter in an X-post on Sunday night
After his Instagram page disappeared, his Colorado teammate Shedeur Sanders spoke out on his behalf on him or someone nearby.
“Right now y’all are just posting for the algorithm to look cool.”
Hunter has defended Lenee amid the social media firestorm. After they appeared to clash during the Buffaloes game, he shared a video of them together on his Instagram Story, where he kissed her and smiled.
A video also emerged last week of Hunter dismissing the outrage, saying: “They want me to be unhappy. They don’t want me to be in a relationship. The reactions and the people, you know, the hate, the hate that I get. It’s deflating. It’s definitely deflating.
“Every time I pick up my phone there’s something new they’re lying about. We are now just a subject. It’s deflating.’
Both Hunter and Sanders are widely tipped to go early in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Hunter is an especially intriguing prospect because he has played both sides of the ball for Colorado – both as a wide receiver and as a cornerback.
Former NFL star and broadcaster Nate Burleson weighed in on the controversy surrounding Lenee and the college football star, who announced they were engaged in February.

“It’s everybody’s business because that couple put it there,” Burleson told TMZ.
‘You can’t complain when people react. That’s social media. You can’t say ‘mind your own business’ or ‘keep your opinion to yourself’ when you’ve shared it with everyone.”
Burleson sympathizes with the Buffalo star, having dated his current wife Aloya while playing at the University of Nevada. At the time, he suggested, many assumed she was with him because of his NFL prospects.
“She was the trophy long before I started chasing them in the NFL. That could be the case in Travis’ relationship. I don’t know,” Burleson said.
“All I know is that I give them both grace. They are young! They’ll find out.’
