Ronnie Wood’s wife Sally, 46, reveals the secret to their happy 12 year marriage as she gives an insight into life with the rocker, 77
Ronnie Wood’s wife Sally has revealed the secret behind the couple’s happy 12-year marriage.
The couple have been married since 2012 after exchanging vows in an intimate ceremony at the Dorchester Hotel in London following a six-month romance, with Rod Stewart as best man.
The pair met nine years earlier at her workplace, the Theater Royal. In 2016, they welcomed daughters Gracie Jane and Alice Rose.
And now in a new interview, Sally, 46, opened up about life with the Rolling Stones rocker, 77, and gave insight into their happy marriage.
Sally told me The mirror: ‘We spend a lot of time together, we get along very well. I think we are very lucky because we love being at home with the girls, watching TV and going to nice restaurants. We all do that anyway.’
Meanwhile, Sally said that far from living a rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle, the couple enjoy nothing more than staying up late reading books and watching TV, adding that they are ‘night owls’.

Giving a candid insight into their daily lives, she continued: ‘I take the girls to school every day, but Ronnie goes to sleep at 2,3,4,5 in the morning. I think it’s because he’s programmed to be on stage until 10 or 11 o’clock at night, so he needs to calm down after that. I’ve always worked in theaters at night. We are night people by nature. Ronnie normally gets up around noon.’
But while the couple are perfectly happy with life as it is, Sally – Ronnie’s third wife – said she wouldn’t rule out the couple renewing their vows later.
She said: ‘It’s a great idea. We did a little thing when we were married for five years. We went to our local church and did it ourselves with the girls, and now we’re up to twelve. I think we’ve been busy with the twins.’
Last year Sally praised her musical partner, but admitted she wished the age gap wasn’t so big.
She told The Telegraph: ‘He’s right on my level. He is a very kind and caring person. Oh God, don’t use the word “fun”, it’s so boring. He is very funny, kind, affectionate and hospitable.’
When discussing their age difference, she said, “Um, well, I know the age difference is there. And I wish it weren’t so, but it is. I guess I had to say, “I can’t do this because of age.”
It comes after Sally proved to be the ever-supportive woman last month when she joined Ronnie at the launch of an exhibition of his own work at the Andrew Martin store on Walton Street in Chelsea.
Ronnie looked suitably smart in a black two-piece suit and crisp white shirt as he greeted spectators before heading inside.

Although the couple are completely content with life as it is, Sally said she wouldn’t rule out the couple renewing their vows in the future.
Meanwhile, Sally, ready to support her man, stood out in a floral mini dress, sheer black tights and conventional black heels.
Outside of his work with The Rolling Stones, Wood has won awards – and earned a tidy sum of money – through his passion for art.
The musician has earned more than £1million from his paintings, and accounts filed in 2023 show he made a huge profit of £1,437,277 the year before.
He discovered his talent for painting in the 1960s at Ealing Art College, alongside fellow stars Freddie Mercury and Pete Townshend.
After gaining fame, Ronnie picked up the paintbrush again in the 1980s.
He previously said: ‘When I paint, I lose track of time. I get engrossed in it. It’s great’.
One of his paintings, unveiled in March 2023, depicted The Rolling Stones – including late drummer Charlie Watts – performing on a Havana street.
