A ’90s game show host was completely unrecognizable when he announced a new project.
The 82-year-old New Zealand actor is known for his role as host of the game show The Crystal Maze in the 1990s.
In the 1970s he also created The Rocky Horror Show, which has remained in production ever since.
The writer, who has now produced a new dark fairytale musical titled The Kingdom Of Bling, looked very different from when he was younger as he shared details about his new project.

The creator looked completely different compared to his time as host of The Crystal Maze Show.
Richard said about his new musical that he was inspired by the presence of Donald Trump.
He told The New Zealand Herald: ‘I was prompted to write this by the horrific presence of Donald Trump in the world.
“I just wanted to write something derogatory, but at the same time entertaining, and take us into a fairy tale… Fairy tales have a dark edge and it doesn’t get any darker than the presence of Mr. Trump in the world.”
According to the actor, the series is based on fairy tales such as Peter and the Wolf and Alice in Wonderland.
In the 40-minute play, Richard narrates along with a series of other characters.
Richard is donating all proceeds from the show to Starship Children’s Hospital.

The musical will start its tour in New Zealand in October and will then tour the entire country.
