80s singing icon Sonia, 53, rocks double denim at launch party for NOW That’s What I Call A Musical 40 years on from her pop heyday
Eighties pop singer Sonia was on guard as she attended the launch party for NOW That’s What I Call A Musical at Universal Music Group in London on Thursday.
The 53-year-old star is preparing for her return to the stage, 40 years after her pop peaks.
The pop singer brought the ’90s to her heart when she wore a double denim ensemble consisting of a blue denim jacket and light blue distressed jeans.
She added inches to her petite frame by wearing a pair of off-white heeled boots and accessorized with a chunky white belt.
Sonia posed alongside 60-year-old Sinitta and completed her look with a pair of large silver hoop earrings and black sunglasses.

The launch party comes after the Eurovision icon made an unrecognisable appearance on Loose Women earlier this year.
She looked a world away from her appearance in 1993, when she stormed the Eurovision Song Contest stage with the song Better the Devil You Know.
Sonia looked glamorous during her appearance on the daytime show, wearing large gold hoop earrings and a solid gold ponytail that held her long, wavy, red-haired locks in place.
The pop icon showed off her ageless body in a dark green dress as she appeared alongside fellow Eurovision legend, Katrina Leskanich, 64.

Sonia, who represented the United Kingdom at the 1993 Eurovision Song Contest, unfortunately did not win and came second.
Later that year, she released an album titled Better the Devil You Know, which reached number 32 in the UK.
In 1989, she scored a number one hit in the UK with You’ll Never Stop Me Loving You, becoming the first female artist in the UK to have five top 20 hits from one album.
When she finished second at the worldwide song contest, she said she lost the podium because of “one voice”.
She was beaten by 56-year-old Irishwoman Niamh Kavanagh, who sang the Jimmy Walsh-penned song In Your Eyes.
When asked if she was still “angry” about it, she initially wavered, but then bluntly admitted: “Yes, I was so close, I was convinced I had won.”
