Let’s get to the point: This weekend may be the worst in history for new things to watch on streaming services. Despite last week’s crop of headlines, including new Netflix series Lockwood & co. and another drama starring Harrison Ford – the next few days are drier than the Sahara on almost every major platform.
That doesn’t mean there isn’t anything not at all to watch this weekend – Netflix in particular has some interesting projects up its sleeve – but the apparent lack of franchise and sequel content is sure to provide a much-needed boost to moviegoers around the world.
Below, we’ve rounded up seven of the biggest new movies and TV shows to stream on Netflix, Prime Video, HBO Max, and more. Our apologies in advance.

Apple hopes to continue its good form with new family drama series Dear Edwardwhich begins streaming this weekend on Apple TV Plus.

Admittedly, that synopsis is not exactly correct Dear Edward sounds like a barrel of laughter, but the success of (and critical praise for) the source material could earn the series a spot on our list of the best apple tv plus shows. The first three episodes are now available to stream.
