50 Cent settled his lawsuit with The Shade Room after suing the blog and a plastic surgeon for sharing a photo of him that he claimed implied he had penis enlargement surgery.
The Queens rapper filed a lawsuit against the blogging site and the Miami-based owner of Perfection Plastic Surgery, Angela Kogan, last year.
He claimed that Kogan took a photo with him to suggest that he underwent penile enhancement surgery.
The Shade Room then shared the photo with its 27.7 million followers to further a story about Kogan discussing the latest trends in surgery.
But the star has now agreed to settle against the blog after initially saying he wanted an apology and money from the website “for exacerbating the penile implant saga.”
50 Cent filed a lawsuit against the blog The Shade Room and the owner of Miami-based Perfection Plastic Surgery, Angela Kogan, last year.
He claimed that she took a photo with him to suggest that he had penis enhancement surgery, which was later widely shared by The Shade Room.
It’s unclear how much The Shade Room’s In Da Club star will receive in the deal, but he was initially asking for ‘millions’.
There has currently been no apology from the website to the star, though it may not be part of the deal.
DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson III, for comment.
He’s still suing the glamorous Kogan for taking the photo and suggesting he had the surgery.
Kogan blames the blog for sharing the story and his lawyer claims that 50 Cent was a client who agreed to pose for the photo ‘in exchange for his service’ but did not clarify what that service was.
50 Cent denies ever having penis enlargement surgery, says he was the subject of ‘ridicule’.
He said Kogan and his associates know he never had any type of surgery at the clinic and wants them to stop using the photo under all circumstances.
The lawsuit claims he caused “substantial damage to his professional and personal reputation, and violated his right to control his name and image.”
But Kogan’s lawyers say 50 Cent would have known it wasn’t just a photo with a fan, and he denies claiming he underwent the procedure.
He is still suing the glamorous Kogan (pictured) for taking the photo and suggesting he had the surgery and wants to be banned from using the image ever again.
Kogan blames the blog for sharing the story, and his attorney claims that 50 Cent was a customer who agreed to post the photo “in exchange for his service,” but did not clarify which service it was.
Judge Robert Scola refused to dismiss the lawsuit last year, saying he had a valid case.
Scola also said Kogan’s lawyers had “overlooked” that, in addition to posting the image on Instagram, she had shared a screen-captured video of her scrolling through the Shade Room article.
The judge wrote: “They argue weakly that Jackson consented to the photo being uploaded to Instagram without mentioning Jackson’s consent/non-consent as to the screenshot video and the promotional value it undoubtedly served.”
That omission is fatal. Because the defendants took it upon themselves to post the video to their Instagram accounts, Jackson can plausibly argue that the defendants used his image without authorization to promote his business, regardless of whether the defendants had any role in posting the Tweet or the article. by TSR.
“The promotional value that the defendants have received by repeatedly sharing Kogan’s photo with Jackson is surely great.”

The documents say: ‘It is clear from the photo itself that the taking of the photo was not a random fluke or unsolicited occasion.
‘The content of the photo shows 50 Cent in Kogan’s office, next to Kogan in her role as a businesswoman/beautician (ie in professional attire).
Therefore, it is false to state or allege that 50 Cent, who wants the Court to believe that he randomly stumbled into a medspa with no specific purpose or intent, agreed to take the photo under the “sole impression that Kogan was a fan seeking the Photography”. for his private and personal enjoyment.
‘The photo is not representative of 50 Cent bumping into a random fan in the middle of the street; rather, it specifically singles out 50 Cent in a specific situation, for a specific purpose, in exchange for a specific transaction.’
His attorney previously said: “Jackson never had a sexual enhancement procedure, never received plastic surgery from the defendants, and never consented to the marketing and publication of the photo.”
