JONESBORO, Ark. — Three people were killed and several others injured in a shooting at a private party in Arkansas on Sunday morning, police said.
Officers found multiple gunshot victims when they arrived on the scene near downtown Jonesboro around 5 a.m. Sunday, Jonesboro police said in a Facebook post.
A man and a woman, who police said were known to the gunman, were killed, police said. The shooter also died. Another woman, who was also known to the shooter, was injured.
Three other people unrelated to the shooter were injured.
Police have not yet said what led to the shooting or provided any updates on the people taken to the hospital.
An investigation continues.
Jonesboro is located approximately 125 miles (209 kilometers) northeast of Little Rock, Arkansas.
