WOODSTOCK, Ill. — Three children were injured when the minivan they were traveling in rolled down a hill into a concrete baseball pit in Woodstock in northern Illinois on Saturday morning.
The children, aged 12 and 13, were hospitalized with minor to moderate injuries.
They were among four children in the parked minivan, which is believed to have accidentally slipped into the driveway while the radio was being adjusted, Woodstock police said in a statement on Facebook.
A baseball game was being played at Woodstock’s Emricson Park when the minivan struck the back of the dugout. None of the nearly a dozen teenage ballplayers in the dugout were injured.
The parents of the children in the minibus were watching the game.
Woodstock is located about 60 miles northwest of Chicago.
