24 stone student denies forcing man to have sex as she is too ‘lazy’ to be on top for 15 minutes

A 24-stone student has denied forcing a shorter man to have sex with her by suggesting she’s too “lazy” to be at the top for 15 minutes.

Imogen Brooke, 30, also said she couldn’t have given her alleged victim a love bite while they were having sex because “I can’t multitask.”

Miss Brooke instead claims that she gave him the love bite while they were kissing before he fell asleep when she went to look at the onion rings she had put in the oven.

She also claimed she couldn’t have pulled him into bed on his back – which he claimed – because “I’m not Superwoman.”

Miss Brooke denies that she incited anyone in her apartment to engage in sexual activity without consent.

The trial is on its third day when the court has previously heard that Ms Brooke felt “horny” when she refused to accept no and stepped on top of her helpless victim.

The “very drunk” student reportedly started “riding” the man whose protests went “in one ear and out the other”, even telling him that “you might say no, but your dick says yes.”

The court heard she weighed 24 stones at the time and gave him the “non-consensual” love bite after “pinning” him for sex before rolling away and going to sleep.

But Ms Brooke denied this, telling the jurors that she is aware of her weight, which means she would not have engaged in that sexual position.

She said, ‘No, I’m not comfortable with my body because I’m taller than most people.

“I’m a big girl and I’m not sure about my weight, or any part of my body.”

Southampton Crown Court in Hampshire heard Miss Brooke would pose a logistical challenge during sex as her size has an impact.

She continued, “I weigh 22nd now, but then I weighed 24th.

“To sit on top, I have to stand up, balance to the side and lift my belly and insert it into the penis – but I would [normally] ask them.

“But I can’t, I don’t like my body.”

Ms Brooke told the court that the two – who had met online – had returned to her flat on the night in question.

She said, “I took Lexi out for a walk, put on some onion rings, and turned on the TV because that’s what I usually do—and because I like food, especially when I’ve been drinking.

“We were sitting on the bed and we were kissing and then the love bite happened.”

Miss Brooke said she went to check the food after kissing while her alleged victim fell asleep.

“After the kiss, I went to pick out the onion rings – I would have checked if they were cooked through or needed a little longer and put mayonnaise on the plate,” she said.

“I ate them all to myself because he was asleep.”

The ‘very drunk’ 30-year-old allegedly started ‘riding’ the man whose protests went ‘in one ear and out the other’.

Miss Brooke told the court that the next day she sent the man a message saying he was “soundo” – fast asleep – when she came back from the kitchen and had to eat the onion rings alone.

When her attorney, Audrey Archer, asked her if she forced the man to have sex with her and pulled down his boxers, she said, “I didn’t do that.”

Ms Archer asked if she had pulled on the man’s arm to make him lie on his back in the run-up to the alleged attack.

She replied, “No – I’m not Superwoman.”

How Sex Without Consent Is Legally Different From Rape And Other Assaults

Miss Brooke denies one charge of causing unauthorized sexual activity.

This differs from a charge of rape, for which the legal definition is when a person intentionally enters another’s vagina, anus, or mouth with a penis, without the other’s consent.

Penetration assault is when a person enters another person’s vagina or anus with a body part other than a penis, or by using an object, without the person’s consent.

The general definition of sexual or indecent assault is an act of physical, psychological and emotional violation in the form of a sexual act, done to a person without his consent. It may involve coercing or manipulating someone to witness or participate in sexual acts.

Asked if it was true that she’d been at the top for the alleged 15-minute period, Miss Brooke said, “No, I wouldn’t.

“No, 15 minutes extra, I wouldn’t – I’m very lazy. I haven’t had sex for any period of time.’

Ms Brooke, who allegedly gave the man a love bite during the assault, told the court she couldn’t have done so “because I can’t multitask.”

Yesterday, the judges learned that Miss Brooke had left him with a love bite so bad it looked like she had “strangled” him.

The court heard that she took a photo of the bruise the morning after the alleged incident and sent it to him, giving him “flashbacks of a rather horrific incident” at her flat in Southampton, Hampshire.

Her alleged victim gave remote testimony yesterday via video link and told the hearing that he had flashbacks of the night Miss Brooke crawled on top of him in bed before forcing him to have sex against his will.

He said, ‘I remember all night. I remember because I can’t get it out of my head.’

The court heard that she had taken a picture of him when he finally fell asleep and sent him on Facebook Messenger the next day.

The man, who denied receiving the love bite with permission, said: ‘I found it difficult to sleep that morning. It took a long time.

“I spent most of the night staring at the wall after she made me have sex.”

He added: ‘I found a picture of me – of me asleep and a bruise on my neck. The bruise was from [Miss Brooke].

“The mark on my neck came during the incident that took place in those early hours.

“She bit my neck. It happened while she was on top of me, when she pinned me on my back, she bit my neck at the same time.’

The court heard that the complainant had not mentioned the love bite in his original police complaint.

When questioned, he told the judges, “I remember everything except the biting – I cover everything in my head and keep it in.”

“I remember everything about that night and when I went to sleep and woke up.”

Jurors were told this week it was a “misconception” that the victims of sex crimes are always women.

Inciting someone to engage in sexual activity without consent is different from an accusation of rape, for which the legal definition is when a person intentionally enters another person’s vagina, anus, or mouth with a penis, without the other person’s consent.

The process continues.
