22-year-old killed outside of a Landsdale service station with machete remembered as ‘kindest soul’

A young man reportedly killed in a brutal daylight machete attack on his way to pick up his mother is remembered by heartbroken family and friends as the kindest soul.

Emergency services were called to a 7-Eleven petrol station in Landsdale in north Perth on Thursday following reports of an unconscious man.

Atbin Razavianroudbarden, 22, was arguing with another man when a third man allegedly attacked him with a machete.

He died at the scene shortly after allegedly being struck in the back with a machete, he was also reportedly slashed in the chest and neck.

Mr Razavianroudbarden’s death has sparked a wave of tributes as family and friends remembered the young victim as ‘full of love’.

Mr Razavianroudbarden was remembered as a man who was ‘full of love’ and lived a ‘life of wisdom’

It is believed the 22-year-old was running errands and had just gone to the hairdresser and was on his way to pick up his mother to take passport photos when his life was cut short.

He was about to start his first FIFO job next week and planned a trip to Bali with friends.

He was also excited about his sister’s wedding later in the year.

“I don’t understand why they would do this? Why? He was nice to everyone,” Mr. Razavianroudbarden’s brother-in-law, Cyrus Takhfifi, told the Western Australian.

“He just stopped to get fuel… so he didn’t know these people.”

He later told Nine News that his brother-in-law was “a great family man, always helping everyone.”

“He never wanted to fight anyone, he was full of love.”

One of Mr Razavianroudbarden’s mates told the media that ‘no one had more honor than him’.

“He was 22, but he lived a wise life,” he said.

“He had unparalleled integrity. I had never met anyone like him.’

A 28-year-old man was arrested hours after the incident after officers from the Tactical Response Group descended on the area to investigate.

The man has since been charged with murder.

Imaddeen Sayed, 28, appeared before Northbridge Magistrates Court on Saturday.

He has not applied for bail and will remain behind bars until he faces Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on July 19.

The terrifying incident occurred in front of shocked customers and staff at the gas station, which has expanded its Employee Assistance Program to anyone who witnessed the alleged attack.
