A young Bunnings employee has earned thousands of fans after appearing in an ad for paint.

Palace Thorley, 21, appeared in the ad across Australia, urging shoppers to enter stores ahead of the long weekend closures if they wanted to make the most of their free time.

The young blonde instantly became an “iconic” face of the DIY magazine — and some people admitted they’d fallen in love since seeing the ad.

Others started messaging the 21-year-old on TikTok and Instagram to draw attention to her resemblance.

After several of these encounters, she decided to reveal the truth.

She’s the iconic girl from the Bunnings paint aisle, and to prove it she dropped her signature glamorous look and put on her work shirt.

She explained that the retailer uses real staff for their advertisements instead of hiring models or actors.

Her original ad went viral — and so did her cheeky follow-up which has since been taken down.
