An Arizona man was caught cutting down a Trump-Vance campaign sign with a machete after crashing into it with his car.
Authorities are investigating multiple reports of a person wearing a white T-shirt, pizza-pattern pants, white slip-ons and a baseball cap vandalizing political signs in the Fortuna Foothills area.
Witnesses reported a man damaged signs near East 40th Street and South Foothills Boulevard by hitting them with a vehicle, kicking them over and cutting them with a machete.
Despite a search of the area, officers were unable to locate the suspect or the vehicle described by witnesses.
Under Arizona state law, damaging or removing political signs without permission is a class 2 misdemeanor.

The Lancaster County Board of Elections announced Friday that staff members had identified 2,500 potentially fraudulent voter registration applications submitted to the elections office.
Some of these applications contain fake names, suspicious handwriting, questionable signatures, incorrect addresses, and other concerning details.
At a press conference, Lancaster County District Attorney Heather Adams stated that two other Pennsylvania counties had also “received similar requests” and were advised to investigate. She declined to identify the counties involved.
