Incredible moment woman, 20, wins $100,000 in Kyle and Jackie O’s secret sound giveaway, while revealing how she plans to spend the money
Radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson changed a young woman’s life Thursday after she won KIIS FM’s highly publicized $100,000 Noise Sweepstakes.
The competition, which began on January 16, asked listeners of The Kyle and Jackie O Show. identify a noise to win the hundred grand prize.
Katie, 20, from Ashfield, Sydney, picked up some clues offered by the hosts and correctly guessed that the amplified sound was that of an earring being removed.

Kyle yelled that he was right and said that they would send his show’s van to take Katie to the station so she could collect the prize money.
A shocked Katie replied, ‘Oh my gosh, are you serious? I’m about to cry!’
Kyle and Jackie O’s Instagram page posted a video of Katie entering the North Ryde studios to collect the money and share a celebratory drink with the team.
The competition, which began on January 16, asked listeners of The Kyle and Jackie O Show to identify a noise to win the grand prize of one hundred.
Listeners were quick to congratulate the young woman on her momentous victory.
Many said ‘good for her’, but one noted that the previous caller would be kicking herself because she had gotten so close to guessing the sound was someone putting on an earring.
This answer was not accepted, because the sound was of someone removing an earring.
Kyle asked Katie what she would do with the money and she said she would use it to put down a deposit on a house.

Last month, Kyle lifted the lid on his ‘feud’ with Australian Idol judge Harry Connick Jr.
Speaking on Sunrise ahead of the show’s premiere, Kyle claimed the Grammy winner made it clear he wasn’t a fan of his from the start.
‘I dont like him. Not that I care. I liked Harry, before I met him,” the Sydney radio host told presenters Natalie Barr and David Koch.
Kyle speculated that Harry didn’t like her even before they met, adding, “It’s not like I’m everyone’s cup of tea.” Maybe he googled some stuff [about me].’
