17-year-old Alabama, the daughter of Travis Barker, is called names for a rap video
Rock star Travis Barker’s teenage daughter Alabama has come under fire from social media users after the teen shared a new TikTok video of herself rapping to her new single.
The 17-year-old daughter of Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler, who was born and raised in Calabasas, California, could be seen singing along with lyrics like “We ain’t together, when I’m wit ‘him he know I’m the real one/ I’m not an opponent, all these b***hes in their feelings’ in the clip posted Monday.
Appearing with a full face of makeup and showing off a vibrant orange wig with a blonde streak, fans were quite taken to notice that the aspiring musician’s vocals and accent seemed to have changed as she started rapping.
One stunned viewer responded on Twitter, “I don’t understand how white girls can be rich and decide to do this? like I would spend money at a swimming pool somewhere like what.”

Another person tweeted, “I don’t know why Alabama Barker doesn’t just rap about being rich and growing up in luxury or something.”
Others were surprised by her choice of musical direction, given that her father is the famous drummer for the iconic punk rock band Blink 182, as one quipped, “girl yo daddy is Travis Barker not Travis Scott.”
“Her father is Travis Barker.. how did this happen???” one wrote, while another said, “Her dad is Travis Barker..how did this happen???”
Another said, “Travis Barker produced this [shocked face emoji].’
One Twitter user sarcastically commented, “The girls are getting really good at their black girl cosplay. Like they’re really committed!’
Others were less impressed with the quality of her music, as another wrote, “You can buy a lot of things, but you can’t buy flow.”
“Her hair is really beautiful I can comment on that now,” one TikTok user wrote, while another commented, “I can’t do the identity crisis thing anymore ppl.”
One fan simply asked, “Why is she like that?”

Some fans commented that she seemed to have a similar look and style to other white female rappers.

Others praised the reality star, and when a follower compared her to Justin Bieber, Alabama responded, “Well, he’s beyond talented.”
Elsewhere in the clip, she could be heard rapping, “Look, who the hell are you talking to?” **he stares yeah I know I’m cool,’ before singing into the chorus.
Alabama first gave fans a taste of her rapping skills during a TikTok live stream in April, where she gave a sneak peek at her original song, Dime in the Rough.

But after she started getting a negative response to the song, she posted it a second time, telling a commenter, “I don’t care what people think who have no motivation and [are] talentless.’
The backlash comes after Alabama was forced to send a message to online critics of her makeup practices.
She used TikTok to express her grievances towards her online haters.
Alabama – who is an ambassador for Pretty Little Thing – wrote of a clip of herself laughing, “When Kathryn with 3 kids, water liner only, 4 different shades of blonde [hair] & Tom’s shoes talk about my makeup or age.’
The clip also showed the influencer saying, “I’ll tell you what you look like, but you won’t like it.”
Barker is often criticized by trolls who think she dresses and acts too mature for her age.

Another said, “I think people are just concerned about the over-sexualization of youth in the Hollywood/Los Angeles culture.”
To that, the blonde makeup mogul replied, “Well, I’m fine, thank you.”
Barker has an older brother, Landon, who is 19. And she is also the younger sister of Atiana De La Hoya, 24, who shares her mother Shanna with ex Oscar De La Hoya.
The young woman regularly has 1.7 million followers on Instagram and she has 3.6 million fans on TikTok.
In March 2021, Alabama showed off her makeup skills when she applied foundation to her father’s face using KVD Beauty’s Good Apple Skin-Perfecting Foundation Balm.
