A teenager accused of raping a Louisiana State University sorority girl will be tried as an adult after a grand jury indicted him for first-degree rape.

Desmond Carter, 17, is now facing life in prison for the attack on Madi Brooks, 19, in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on January 15.

The teen was accused of raping the Alpha Phi member, as well as 18-year-old Kavion Washington, who was charged with third-degree rape.

She was last seen drunk staggering out of Reggie’s bar with the group, in Tigerland, whose license has since been revoked.

The Washington college football player is accused of raping another young woman who she claims attacked her in October last year after taking advantage of her at Reggie’s.

The victim in the October case says she was too drunk to go home, so she asked if she could stay at one of a friend’s apartments in Washington.

According to her arrest affidavit, they all returned to the house together, where she and the friend began having sex in front of Washington.

Supposedly, the friend became more “aggressive”, pinning her down and ignoring her as she begged him to “stop”.

Washington was watching, but then reached over and felt the victim’s breast and vagina, the affidavit states.

The alleged incident is the third rape allegation made against Washington.

In addition to Brooks, he is accused of raping a 12-year-old girl in 2020 after following her home from a pool party when he was 15.
